Low yielding vines and the clay soils of Marlborough's Southern Valleys has produced this excellent Pinot Noir, which displays lifted cherry and raspberry aromas, fragrant vanilla and mocha notes derived from maturation of a portion of the wine in a mixture of new and older French oak barriques. The palate is elegant with bright fruit characters, soft tannins, a lovely texture and the gentle acidity that you would expect from excellent Pinot Noir.
